Morrison Hill was a shrubby mound at the seashore, originally located at the area now enclosed by four streets, namely Morrison Hill Road, Wood Road, Wan Chai Road and Queen’s Road East. Indigenous inhabitants identified the hill as Fei Ngo Leng in the past. It abutted another hill, which became Stubbs Road today, and together the two hills formed a valley near today’s Tang Shiu Kin Hospital. After the British paved Queen’s Road, however, the two hills were separated.
