Chan
The Chan Clan ratified Chan Chiu Yin as its founding ancestor. He originally founded in Nga Tsin Wai around the beginning of the 15th century. Most clansmen subsequently moved away to villages such as Nga Tsin Long, Sha Po and Tseung Kwan O. The steady decline in the number of Chans living in Nga Tsin Wai meant that by the time Hong Kong fell to the Japanese in 1941, only the family of Chan Sui Chuen were left in the village. The main properties of Chan Chiu Yin Tso are the Tin Hau Temple and the three-surnamed ancestral house they jointly own with the Ngs and Lees.
