British Army's Nanking and Hankow Barracks at Sham Shui Po around 1928. Near the middle is the Castle Peak Road. After the General Strike (1925-26), the British Army sent reinforcements to Hong Kong, and the newly reclaimed land in Sham Shui Po was requisitioned for as the site for the barracks.
