Content This calendar poster celebrating the Chinese New Year was designed by Kwan Wai-nung and printed by Asiatic Lithographic Printing Press in 1922. The blue tone and rose patterns were all markedly Western, a radical departure from the traditional Chinese auspicious colour - bright red.
