The location was part of Aberdeen, then a fishing harbour. At the time the fishing boats were tightly packed with boats commuting between Aberdeen and Ap Lei Chau. As times change, the boat people abandoned their sea abode and moved into public housing; the hand-rowed ferries were also replaced by motor boats. A heavily loaded motor boat was seen at mid-day; the heavy load turned out to be pigs.
