Facing the gate of the walled village is the three-roofed Village Council House.

| OBSERVATIONS | The Council House, the centre of the village administration, was considerably smaller than the Man Shek Tong, reflecting the greater importance of the clan as a kinship and ritual group. This building has since been demolished and a new and larger building built on a section of the moat which has been filled in. |
