The square-shaped Lung Tsun Pavilion of two storey in height was at the landward end of the Bridge. It was also called the Pavilion for Greeting Officials, as the pier was originally constructed for officials and militants of the Qing court. When Zaifeng (Prince Chun of the first rank) visited Hong Kong and made a tour to the Kowloon Walled City in 1901, a spectacular welcoming ceremony was held in front of the Lung Tsun Pavilion. The structure, however, was demolished in 1930 to make way for the reclamation of Kowloon Bay and the Kai Tak residential development.
