Produced and recorded by Hong Kong Radio Broadcast Unit of the United States Information Services in the 1950s, this drama was aired on a radio station in Hong Kong, but it is not clear exactly when. “The Unsold Heart”, a single-episode love story, was written by Li Yanyuan, adapted by Lu Qiwen and directed by Chung Wai Ming, with sound effects by Han Xin 。

The story goes that Wu Xian, a university student, has plans to start a school after graduation, and is hoping for financial support from his uncle’s friend Mr.Zhang. At the same time, his relationship with his girl friend Ge Miaolan is developing nicely so when the story begins, he is a good place both in terms of his career and love life.

At a party, Wu introduces Miaolan to his playboy friend Feng Qiang. Feng makes up a story about Wu’s intention to marry his cousin and Miaolan decides to leave Wu. Three months later, Wu hears that Miaolan has become blind and is abandoned by Feng. Wu, after graduating, asks Zhang for help to establish the school but Zhang tells him that he must first marry his daughter, who is lame. In order to find money to send Miaolan to America for treatment, Wu agrees. Five months later, Miaolan, now cured, returns to HK and the lovers meet at the airport for a heart to heart talk.
