Observation:The dead woman had been very popular, and she and her late husband had been renowned for their generosity in sharing what they had with others in the dark days of hardship during the Japanese occupation. Many people attended the funeral and made their offerings of incense, candles and paper money to the soul of their friend and benefactor.
